Overview
Fleet is a vehicle and asset fleet management product inside The One Stack. It gives operations teams a single place to track every vehicle, driver, maintenance record, fuel receipt, GPS position, and compliance document. Fleet runs automated alerts for overdue maintenance, expiring insurance and registrations, and safety events — so nothing falls through the cracks between service intervals.
Fleet is used by fleet managers, operations coordinators, and dispatchers. It also supports drivers who need to log personal vehicle mileage for reimbursement.
What Fleet Manages
Fleet covers the full lifecycle of a vehicle and the day-to-day operations around it:
- Vehicles — VIN, make, model, year, license plate, mileage, ownership type, assigned driver, insurance, registration, and GPS device.
- Drivers — license details, certifications, assigned vehicle, and safety scorecard.
- Maintenance — service records, interval schedules (miles or days), and work orders with parts and labor tracking.
- Fuel — fuel entries, MPG calculation, cost per mile, and emissions reporting.
- Trips — origin, destination, distance, driver, and purpose.
- Inspections — pre-trip, post-trip, and DOT annual with reusable checklists.
- Compliance — insurance, registration, and license expiration tracking with proactive alerts.
- Dispatch — assign vehicles and drivers, optimize routes, track ETAs.
- GPS — real-time positions, history, geofences, and visit logs.
Relationship to RMM
Fleet is a standalone product. When used alongside RMM in The One Stack, vehicles can be synced to the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) so that fleet assets appear as configuration items alongside IT equipment. This sync is managed from the CMDB Sync section in Fleet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need GPS hardware to use Fleet?
No. Fleet works fully without GPS. You lose live tracking, geofence visit logs, and safety event scoring, but all other features — maintenance, fuel, inspections, compliance, dispatch — work with manual data entry.
Which GPS hardware does Fleet support?
Freematics GPS dongles are first-class supported. Generic GPS devices that can push via HTTP POST to the ingest endpoint also work.
Does Fleet handle invoicing or billing?
Not directly. Fleet connects to PSA for contract-linked cost allocation, but invoicing is handled by PSA.
