Overview
The Store is where you order hardware for your organisation, and where you pick a replacement for a device you already have.
The Store has three tabs:
-
Replace — the devices you have flagged for replacement, and the picks for them.
-
Browse — the catalog, with search and categories.
- My Orders — the orders your organisation has placed, and where each one stands.
Whether the Store is available at all is a setting your IT provider controls. When they switch it off, the portal says so plainly: the Store is not offered to you, and nothing you have already ordered is affected.
How To: Order hardware
- Open the Store and go to Browse.
- Search or pick a category to find the hardware you want.
- Open the item you want. The price shown is the list price for the device.
- Place the order from the item's order form.
- Find the order afterwards under My Orders.
If ordering is not available yet, the catalog tells you so and asks you to contact your provider to place the order — it does not silently fail when you press Order.
Who pays for what
This is worth stating plainly, because it is unusual:
-
The device price shown is the list price, and nothing is charged to you in this portal. The order form says so before you submit it: the device and its shipping are arranged and paid for by the provider that runs this store.
-
Shipping is arranged and paid for by your provider too — including sending hardware back. You are never asked for payment details for shipping in the portal.
-
Your subscription is what you signed up for on the storefront, and it is billed separately from hardware.
How To: Check where an order is
Open My Orders and find the order. While nothing has been confirmed about a shipment yet, the order is shown as awaiting fulfilment — which is what it is, rather than a status that looks like progress. Once a fulfilment event arrives, the order moves to the real status.
The portal does not guess. It shows a stage the order has actually reached.
How To: Replace a device
- Open Devices & Users.
-
Find the device and choose Replace. This flags the device for replacement.
-
Open the Store. The flagged device appears on the Replace tab with picks for its successor.
-
Order the replacement from there.
Flagging a device does not order anything on its own, and it does not remove the device from your account. It only puts the device in front of you with replacements to choose from.
Returns and shipping
Sending hardware back is arranged with your provider. The portal records the order and its shipment, and your provider arranges the label and pays for it — you are not asked for payment details for shipping in the portal.
If you need to return a device, contact your provider and tell them which order or device it is for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Am I charged when I place an order? No. Placing an order in the portal takes no payment from you. The order and its shipping are arranged and paid for by the provider that runs the store.
Why does my order say "awaiting fulfilment"? Because nothing has confirmed a shipment for it yet. It is the honest state for an order that has been placed but not yet fulfilled, and it will change once a fulfilment event arrives.
Can I order something that is not in the catalog? The catalog is what your provider has chosen to offer. If something you need is missing, ask them — they control what the Store carries.
Why can I not see the Store at all? Your provider can switch the Store off. When it is off, the portal says the Store is not switched on for your account.
Does ordering a replacement remove the old device? No. Ordering and removing are separate actions. Remove a device from Devices & Users when it is actually off your account.
Troubleshooting
The catalog will not load. That is a failure to read, not an empty catalog, and the portal says which it is. Use the retry on the message.
Nothing matched my search. Try a different search term or another category. A search with no matches is reported as no matches, not as an empty catalog.
The Order button is disabled. Ordering is not available yet. The catalog tells you so and asks you to contact your provider to place the order.
I ordered a device and the status never moves. Statuses move when a fulfilment event arrives. If it has been a while, ask your provider about the order — they arrange fulfilment.
