In progress — Quiet is part of The One Stack and is still being built. Some actions described may not be available yet. The MSP-side Quiet console is not in the app launcher yet.
Overview
Quiet is your IT, bought and set up online. You signed up on your IT provider's storefront, and from that point on everything lives in this portal.
Your portal has four areas of its own, on top of the standard client-portal navigation:
-
Home — your posture, your devices and your users at a glance, plus the guided setup checklist until your setup is finished.
-
Store — hardware you can order, and replacements for devices you already have.
-
My Services — what is active on your account, what else you can add, your billing history, and (when Edge VPN applies) the egress IP your traffic uses.
-
Devices & Users — the machines and the people on your account.
Your IT provider runs this portal for you. They choose what is in the catalog, whether the Store is open, and how the site looks.
Your setup checklist
The first time you sign in, Home opens a guided setup. It walks you through, in order: confirming your organisation, naming an administrator, granting the consent the platform needs, finding your users, choosing how the software is rolled out, turning on the protections in your bundle, and a final posture report.
You can close the wizard at any point and come back to it — your progress is kept, and Home shows a banner to resume where you stopped. If a step cannot be read, the wizard tells you so instead of behaving as though you had never started.
What Home shows
-
Your posture state — protected, warnings, attention, or never assessed. "Never assessed" is a real state of its own: an organisation that has not been assessed yet is shown as never assessed, and never as protected.
-
Your device and user counts.
- A weekly summary — phishing attempts blocked, backups completed, and security patches applied. It appears only when those measurements are genuinely available for your account. Until then the section says nothing has been reported yet, rather than showing zeroes as though they were results.
If a section cannot be read, Home says it could not be read — it never presents a failed read as an empty account.
My Services
- Active — what is on your account right now.
-
Available add-ons — what else you can ask for. Requesting an add-on files a request for your provider to approve; it does not charge you on the spot.
-
Billing history — your past invoices.
- Edge VPN (Quiet) — Quiet uses a shared egress pool. Quiet does not include a dedicated static IP. Dedicated concentrator + static IP is an Edge capability (separate from Quiet), not a Quiet My Services toggle.
If a section cannot be read, it says so rather than showing an empty list.
Devices & Users
Devices lists the machines on your account. Each row offers:
-
Replace — flags the device for replacement so it appears in the Store's Replace tab, where you pick its successor. Flagging a device does not order anything by itself.
-
Remove — takes the device off your account. This is reversible: the device reappears if it is enrolled again.
Users lists the people on your account. Adding a user, resending someone their install link, and disabling someone's access are owner or admin actions. If you are a member rather than an owner or admin, the section tells you to ask one of them rather than showing you controls the server would refuse. The account owner cannot be disabled, and nobody can disable themselves.
A send that fails is reported as a failure. The portal never tells you an email went out when it did not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to install anything myself? Your setup checklist walks you through it, and installer links are emailed to the people who need them. An owner or an admin can resend someone their link from Devices & Users at any time.
Who do I contact for support? Your IT provider — the company whose storefront you signed up with. They run this portal and the services behind it for you.
Can I add more people later? Yes. Use Devices & Users, if you are the account owner or an admin.
Why does Home say "never assessed"? Because your organisation has not been assessed yet. It is not a fault, and it is not the same thing as being protected. The state changes once your setup and assessment complete.
Why can I not see the Store? The Store is a setting your provider controls. When it is switched off, the portal says so and the Store is not offered to you.
Can I change what my account costs? Your plan and its pricing come from what your provider sells. Add-on requests are requests — your provider approves them before anything changes.
Troubleshooting
A list is empty when I expected entries. An empty list and a failed read are different, and the portal shows them differently: a failed read says it could not be read, while a genuine empty result says there is nothing there yet.
The setup wizard disappeared. It does not run once your setup is finished. If you closed it part-way, Home shows a banner you can use to pick it up again.
Someone did not receive their install email. Use Resend on their row in Devices & Users. If the send fails, the portal tells you it failed — pass the link on another way, or try again.
I cannot find the controls to add or disable a user. Those are owner or admin actions. Ask an owner or an admin on your account to make the change.
