Part of RMM. Network monitoring is in RMM → Network (/rmm/network). It used to be a separate app called Pulse, and old /pulse links open RMM. In the Network menu, network locations are labelled Locations. Network settings and credentials are behind the RMM Settings gear.
Overview
Speedtests measure a site's internet circuit — download, upload, and latency — and trend the results over the last 30 days. They tell you whether a "the internet is slow" complaint is real, whether a circuit is degrading, and whether a client is getting the bandwidth they pay for. The site collector runs them.
Steps
- Open RMM → Network → Speedtests.
- Select the site whose circuit you want to test (the page is site-scoped).
- Review the current readings — Download, Upload, Latency — and the 30-day samples.
- To test now, trigger an on-demand run; to test continuously, schedule recurring speedtests for the site.
Reading the Results
- Each metric is shown against its 30-day average so you can spot a drop ("Download vs 30d avg").
- A consistent downward trend usually means a degrading circuit or a saturated link — correlate with monitor flapping at the same site.
- THEO can read these trends to summarize circuit health in plain language.
Troubleshooting
No speedtest data for a site. Confirm the site has an Active collector — speedtests are executed by the collector, so an offline collector means no new samples.
Numbers look far below the plan. Run an on-demand test during a quiet window to rule out congestion, then compare to the provisioned speed. Persistent shortfalls are worth a circuit ticket with the ISP.
