Account credits are a balance the platform applies against your future invoices. Credits come from referrals, promotions, or refunds. This article explains where to see your balance, how credits are applied, and the refund history.
Who This Is For
MSP Owner and Finance users.
Viewing Your Credit Balance
- Go to /billing/credits (or click Credits in the billing sidebar).
- The Credits panel shows your current account credit balance and where it came from (referral, promo, refund, etc.).
- The Refund History section lists past refunds issued to your account.
How Credits Are Applied
Credits are deducted automatically from your next invoice before payment is collected. On the invoice they appear as a negative Credits applied line item. If the credit balance exceeds the invoice subtotal, the remaining credit carries forward to the following invoice — credits are not paid out as cash.
The invoice math is:
subtotal − credits applied − discounts + tax = invoice total
Refunds
When the platform issues a refund (for example, after a billing correction), it appears in Refund History on this page. Depending on how it was issued, a refund is either returned to your original payment method or added to your account credit balance. The refund record shows which.
Troubleshooting
"My credit didn't reduce my invoice." Credits apply to the next invoice generated after the credit posts. A credit added after an invoice was already issued applies to the following one.
"I expected a referral credit and don't see it." Referral credits post after the referred MSP completes the qualifying action (typically a first paid invoice). If it is overdue, open a support request with the referral details.
