Overview
There is no invitation to accept. If your IT provider has added you as an active contact on your organization's Client Portal, you can sign in yourself — the portal does not email you an invitation, and no invite link is ever sent to you.
Before You Sign In
Your IT provider sets up portal access from their own tools, and no email is sent to you when they do. There is nothing in your inbox to wait for, and nothing to activate.
Ask your IT provider for the portal address. It is usually app.theonestack.com/portal, or a custom address such as support.yourcompany.com.
Signing In for the First Time
- Go to the portal address your IT provider gave you.
- Enter your email address — the one your IT provider has on file for you.
- If you have never set a password, click Email me a sign-in link instead. A one-time sign-in link is emailed to that address; it is valid for 15 minutes and can be used once.
- Open the link from your inbox and you are signed in.
You can set a password afterwards from Account → Security if you would rather sign in with one.
If your organization has Microsoft sign-in enabled, the sign-in page shows a Continue with Microsoft 365 button — use that to sign in with your Microsoft work account instead.
What Happens Next
Your permissions are the ones your IT provider assigned to you — submitting tickets, viewing invoices, seeing devices and backups, and so on. They apply from your first sign-in. There is no activation step and nothing to accept.
Frequently Asked Questions
No invitation email arrived. What should I do?
Nothing is wrong — no invitation email is sent. Adding you as a portal contact does not generate one. Go to the portal address and use Email me a sign-in link instead to get in.
Can I use the same sign-in link more than once?
No. A sign-in link is single-use and expires after 15 minutes. If it has expired, request a new one from the sign-in page.
I set a password but forgot it before I could write it down.
Go to the portal sign-in page and click Forgot password. You'll receive a password reset link (valid for 1 hour) to get back in.
The portal says my email address isn't recognised.
Your IT provider has to add your email address as a portal contact first — that is the step that creates your access, not an email. Contact them and ask them to add it.
Can I sign in with my Microsoft work account?
Only if your IT provider has enabled Microsoft sign-in for your organization. You'll see a Continue with Microsoft 365 button on the sign-in page if they have.
