The leaderboard shows how users in your organisation rank against each other on three measures: Monthly Score, All-Time XP, and Longest Streak. It is a Complete tier feature. Administrators can view the full leaderboard and drill into individual user profiles; end users see rankings for their own organisation.
Accessing the Leaderboard
- Sign in to Cypher.
- Click Leaderboard in the navigation.
- If you are on the Essentials tier, you will see a prompt to upgrade. The leaderboard is not available on Essentials.
The Three Ranking Categories
The leaderboard has three tabs, each showing a different ranking:
Monthly Score — XP earned in the current calendar month. This is the most competitive view because it resets on the first of each month, giving everyone a fresh start. Users who complete training early in the month and maintain activity show near the top.
All-Time XP — the total XP earned since the user's account was created. This rewards long-term engagement. Users who have been on the platform longer tend to rank higher here.
Longest Streak — the longest consecutive monthly training streak each user has achieved. A streak represents completing at least one training session in each calendar month without missing one.
Click any tab to switch rankings. The list updates to reflect that category.
Reading a User's Profile from the Leaderboard
- Click any user's name or row on the leaderboard.
- The profile view shows their current level, streak count, recent badges earned, and completed sessions.
- Individual session details (scores, choices made) are visible to admins only — end users see the ranking view only.
When the Leaderboard Updates
The leaderboard cache is rebuilt overnight — once per day. XP earned during the day will appear in rankings the following morning. If you completed training today and your position has not changed yet, check back the next day.
New accounts that signed up today will appear in the leaderboard the following day after the first rebuild runs.
Privacy Considerations
- End users see rankings and display names for their own organisation. They do not see users from other organisations.
- Individual session details (specific choices, scenario scores) are not shown to other end users — only to admins.
- If your organisation has disabled the leaderboard at the admin level, users will not see the leaderboard view at all.
FAQ
Can the leaderboard be hidden from end users? Yes. An admin can disable the leaderboard display from the tenant settings. Users with an active Complete subscription will still have their XP tracked — they just will not see the public ranking view.
Why does the leaderboard show yesterday's data? The leaderboard refreshes once per night. Real-time XP updates appear on a user's personal dashboard immediately, but the ranked list is a cached snapshot rebuilt each day.
Do users from different client companies appear on the same leaderboard? No. Each organisation's leaderboard is scoped to that organisation only. MSP admins viewing a client company's leaderboard see only that company's users.
