It generates personalised training scenarios based on your company's industry, size, and role list, then delivers them as short, story-driven sessions where users make choices that branch the scenario. MSP administrators use it to run training programs across client companies; end users complete sessions on their own schedule to stay current on security threats.
What Cypher Does
Cypher handles three distinct training tracks:
- Annual and monthly training — cadence-driven assignments that enroll users automatically based on your chosen schedule.
- Remediation micro-training — short, targeted lessons auto-assigned when someone fails a phishing simulation, triggers an insider-threat alert, or has credentials appear on the dark web.
- Compliance training bundles — packaged curricula for standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and state privacy laws, assigned to the users who need them.
All scenario content is built by THEO, the platform's AI engine. THEO takes your company profile — industry, size, and roles — and generates phishing emails, caller scripts, and physical situation scenarios tailored to threats your industry actually faces.
How the Gamification System Works
Completing training earns experience points (XP). XP accumulates to push users through six levels:
Recruit → Analyst → Operator → Specialist → Sentinel → Ghost
Users also maintain a monthly streak by completing at least one training session each calendar month. Streaks reset if a month is skipped. Twenty-four badge types unlock for specific achievements. On the Complete tier, a leaderboard shows rankings by Monthly Score, All-Time XP, and Longest Streak.
The gamification layer is not decorative — it is the mechanism that gets users to come back. Admins see completion rates go up when leaderboards are enabled.

Cypher is included with your plan at no additional per-user charge — there is no per-user price for Cypher. Your tier decides which features are available:

Is Cypher a separate login from the rest of the platform? No. You sign in through the portal using Hub SSO. Cypher picks up your session automatically.
Do I need the Complete tier to use phishing simulations? No. Phishing simulations are available on both tiers. Leaderboards and adaptive difficulty require Complete.
Can Cypher assign training automatically after a security incident? Yes, on the Complete tier. If a user clicks a phishing link, submits credentials, or triggers an insider-threat alert, Cypher auto-assigns a micro-lesson within minutes. There is a 24-hour per-user cooldown so the same user is not flooded with assignments.
