Dashboards are the main workspace in Clarity for monitoring your business at a glance. Each dashboard holds a collection of widgets — charts, KPI tiles, tables — that you arrange to fit how you work. You can start from a pre-built template or build one from scratch.
Dashboards can be marked as your default landing page, shared publicly via a time-limited link, or saved as point-in-time snapshots.
Creating a Dashboard
From a template:
- Go to Dashboards and click Browse Templates.
- Templates are organized by vertical (MSP, Legal). Each template shows a preview outline of the included widgets.
- Click Install on the template you want. Clarity creates a new dashboard populated with that template's widgets.
From scratch:
- Click New Dashboard.
- Give it a name and optionally a description.
- Use Add Widget to choose what to display: revenue trend, open tickets, SLA performance, tech utilization, churn risk, client health heatmap, and others.
- Drag widgets to reorder them on the canvas.
- Click a widget to edit its filters.
- Click Save.
Setting a Default Dashboard
A default dashboard is what loads when you open Clarity. To set one:
- Open the dashboard you want as your default.
- Click Set as Default.
Only one dashboard can be the default at a time. Changing the default replaces the previous one.
Sharing a Dashboard
Sharing creates a public, read-only link that anyone can open without logging in.
- Open the dashboard and click Share.
- Clarity generates a 7-day share token and displays the URL. Copy it.
- The link opens a read-only view of the dashboard. An HTML snapshot version is also available — useful for embedding in an email.
- To revoke access before the 7 days expire, click Unshare. The token is deleted immediately.
Share links expire automatically after 7 days. Create a new share if the link stops working.
Saving a Snapshot
Snapshots capture the dashboard at a specific point in time. Use this before a QBR or whenever you want to preserve a view.
- Open the dashboard and click Snapshot.
- The snapshot is saved as a static version — it does not update when underlying data changes.
FAQ
Can I have multiple dashboards? Yes. Create as many as you need. Only one can be marked as default, but you can navigate between them freely.
Do shared links update with new data? Yes. The share token points to a live dashboard view, not a static snapshot. Use the Snapshot feature if you want a frozen version.
What happens when a share link expires? The link returns a 404. Revoke and regenerate from the dashboard's Share button to create a fresh 7-day token.
