Overview
If you have forgotten your Hub password, you can request a reset link by email. This article covers the forgot-password flow, how long the reset link is valid, and what to do if the email does not arrive.
Requesting a Password Reset
- Go to app.theonestack.com and click Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
- Enter your work email address and click Send reset link.
- The Hub sends a password reset email to that address. The page shows a success message regardless of whether the email exists — this is intentional to protect account privacy.
Using the Reset Link
- Open the email from The One Stack (check the inbox for your work email address).
- Click the reset link inside the email.
- Enter a new password. Passwords must be at least 10 characters and include upper-case letters, lower-case letters, and at least one number.
- Enter the new password a second time to confirm.
- Click Reset password.
After a successful reset, all your existing sessions on every device are ended immediately. Sign in with your new password to start a fresh session.
Reset Link Expiry
Reset links are valid for 1 hour from the time the email is sent. If you click an expired link, the Hub shows an error and you will need to request a new one by going through the forgot-password flow again.
What to Do If the Reset Email Does Not Arrive
- Wait up to 5 minutes — email delivery can occasionally be delayed.
- Check your spam or junk folder for a message from The One Stack.
- Confirm you entered the exact email address tied to your Hub account. If you are unsure, ask your organization Owner or Admin.
- If the email still has not arrived after checking the above, ask your Owner or Admin to verify that your account is active (not suspended or disabled). Disabled accounts do not receive reset emails.
- If none of the above resolves it, contact The One Stack support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I request multiple reset links?
Yes. Each new request generates a fresh link and a new 1-hour window. The previous link is cancelled when a new one is issued.
Do I need to be signed out to reset my password?
No. The forgot-password link is always available on the sign-in page, even if you are not currently signed in.
I reset my password. Why am I signed out everywhere?
This is a security feature. When a password is reset, every active session — on your laptop, phone, desktop agent, and any other device — is ended immediately. You will need to sign in again on each device.
The reset link says it has already been used.
Each link is single-use. If you clicked it once successfully but did not complete the form (or your browser closed mid-flow), request a new reset link.
I use Microsoft SSO to sign in. Do I still have a Hub password?
Not necessarily. If you only ever signed in with Microsoft, you may not have a Hub password set. In that case, use Continue with Microsoft to sign in. If you want to add a Hub password, contact support.
